In today's interconnected world, the importance of global education cannot be overstated. Global education enables students to understand the issues faced by people throughout the world, and leads to acceptance, compassion, and respect for different cultures, religions, and ways of life.

 

Through global education we can achieve an open-minded, accepting view of different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life, and importantly we also gain perspective on our own culture and belief systems. 

 

Global understanding is not an end in itself; educating ourselves about different cultures and beliefs equips us with the knowledge and skills needed to participate in a global economy and work together with people from around the world to tackle some of the greatest issues facing our planet: climate change, inequality, human rights, access to food and clean water, education, and more.
